The website is owned and operated by Weltman, Weinberg & Reis Co., LPA (Weltman), which is a law firm that provides debt collection services to creditors throughout the United States.

The personal information submitted by users of the website (Weltman ePay) is done on a voluntary basis, either to make a payment transaction on an account or to communicate with Weltman about an account. Weltman collects bank routing, checking and savings account numbers, and debit card numbers, for the purpose of executing payment transactions authorized by the user via the Weltman ePay website. In order to verify transaction data, we may collect pertinent information which may include the name, social security number, street address, city, state, zip code, telephone number, and email address associated with the holder of the bank routing, checking and saving account numbers, and debit card numbers. We also collect the creditor’s account number from the user to appropriately apply the payment transaction to the past-due account placed with Weltman. This communication is from a debt collector attempting to collect this debt for the current creditor and any information obtained will be used for that purpose.

To service the user’s request to process a payment on a past-due account, Weltman may share pertinent information with other entities to fully complete the payment transaction. The actions taken may include a report to the creditor of the past-due account (or their agents) that payment or payments were made; a report to the Credit Bureaus (e.g., Equifax, Experian, TransUnion) if applicable, of the payment that was made on a past-due account; or to report such information to any other party as required to do so by law or regulation.

In addition, Weltman takes appropriate security measures in our operations to protect against the loss, misuse, or modification of information that has been collected from users of the Weltman ePay website.

Weltman utilizes web-based software to monitor and analyze website utilization, measure website performance, and to assist management in various ways to make the Weltman ePay experience more user-friendly and convenient. No specific user information is collected from users for this purpose. Aggregate information gathered for this purpose includes; number of visits to the website, web page(s) visited, website referrals, IP addresses, and top search strings.
